Two layers (inner/outer) of highly flame resistant PGI fabric blend consisting of 5.3 osy Comfort Plus™ (DuPont™ Nomex®/meta-aramid and Lenzing FR®) with Silpure antimicrobial finish. Solution dyed heather gray, 1 x 1 rib knit quilted to encapsulate a 0.8 osy DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex particulate barrier which blocks an average of 96% of harmful submicron size particulate. Non-chaffing flat seams sewn with DuPont™ Nomex® thread. PGI quilted BarriAire™ composite fabrics recently achieved Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE) Rating of 96.8% and Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) Rating of 97.9% (as conducted by Nelson Labs, U.S.A.).
Nomex® Nano Flex material consists of nonwoven, submicron, continuous nano-fibers and is inherently flame resistant. It is thinner and lighter weight than typical nonwoven materials. Nomex® Nano Flex is highly breathable and combines exceptional elasticity with superior particulate blocking performance.
BarriAire™ Particulate Barrier Technology products offer more protection, comfort and value. BarriAire™ particulate products combine two layers of proven flame resistant fabric and a middle layer of ultra-lightweight DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex fabric which blocks penetration of 96% (BarriAire™ Gold quilted composite) to 99.9% (BarriAire™ Carbon Shield™ laminated composite) of harmful submicron size particulates. BarriAire™ Gold quilted composite fabrics recently achieved Viral Filtration Efficiency (VFE) Rating of 96.8% and Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) Rating of 97.9% (VFE and BFE testing as conducted by Nelson Labs, U.S.A.).
